Texas Trooper Sparks Chaos in A&M Tunnel After TD
Look, it's not exactly a secret how Texans are CRAZY passionate about their football. It doesn't matter if it's high school, college, or the NFL. Their passion on game day is unmatched. Painted faces and bodies, crazy headwear, and complete disregard for their vocal cords.
Yup, that's football in Texas, love it or not. However, there are times that passion goes a little TOO far, and this past Saturday, we saw something happen that more than crossed a line when it comes to a college football game.
Mayhem In College Station
The third-ranked Aggies of Texas A&M took on South Carolina this weekend, and man, things were not going well for them at all. After an 80-yard strike to South Carolina wide receiver Nyck Harbor, the Gamecocks were up on Texas A&M 27-3. Harbor ran through the tunnel after scoring, appearing to have a slight limp.
Several teammates followed him into the tunnel to congratulate him on the TD. That was when the real drama began, because the celebration could've turned very ugly in that moment.
Texas State Trooper Gets Involved
Now, I'm not sure if this state trooper was an A&M fan and was frustrated with how the game was going or not, but what he did was stunning. He began walking up the tunnel as the South Carolina players were walking back onto the field, and the trooper just barreled right between two players.
The moment that happened, the trooper turned around and started yelling at the two players like they had done something wrong. He was visibly upset and pointing his finger at one of the players. The other player there grabbed his teammate and continued their walk back onto the field.
Intentional? Maybe.
Now, there is always the chance that it was unintentional, but this video shows that more than likely it wasn't the case.
You can see the trooper throw a shoulder at one of the players as he splits the two of them and IMMEDIATELY turns around and starts barking at one of the players. Well, his bosses agreed with the masses that it appeared intentional.
That trooper was removed from his duties at the game and sent home...and missed one of the most incredible comebacks in college football history as the Aggies stormed back and won the game 31-30.
