Much has been made about the arguments around THC in Texas. New businesses have been built and are thriving, but Texas has always been a state that has had aversions to things such as THC and the legalization of marijuana.

While the laws around medical marijuana appear to be loosening a bit, the rules and laws wrapped around THC appear to be tightening.

There have been numerous reasons as to why THC has become such a hot topic in Texas lately, one of the biggest ones being they can't properly test whether or not the laws are being followed.

When lawmakers approved THC products, they had set a limit as to how much THC could be in the product. It seems that many shops have been able to skirt the rules as to the THC limit simply because it's expensive and difficult to test the products they're selling.

Because of it, lawmakers are kind of reversing course and wanting to ban THC products in Texas. There may be one thing they are forgetting though should they move to ban it.

Jobs.

According to Spectrum News, if THC were to be banned completely in Texas, it would shut down every one of those businesses, and cost the Texas economy 50,000+ jobs. As far as how many businesses would be lost? Roughly 8,000 of them would shut their doors.

SB 3 is the bill that would ban hemp-based THC consumables, and it's already passed in both the House and Senate here in Texas. The bill is currently sitting on Gov. Greg Abbott's desk, and he will be the one to decide whether to sign it in to law or not.

Thousands of letters have been sent to Abbott urging him NOT to sign the bill and make it law, and the amount of businesses and jobs that would be lost makes sense as to why. We will all have to wait and see where this one leads.

Dangerous Texas Gangs And Their Rivals

The rise of gang culture in Texas has been a steady one

The more prevalent gangs are, the more likely the average citizen is to cross paths with affiliated members. As the population of Texas has increased in size and diversity, so have the gangs of the Lone Star state.

If you're not mixed up in organized crime shenanigans, then you're probably safe. But as the old adage goes, the more you know the better prepared you are.
