The Kids Are Back In School. What Can You Do With That Free Time?
Some of the most glorious words were uttered this week. That's right, "back to school" was a very commonly used phrase, and in a lot of cases, it was a very welcomed phrase.
So with the kids back and learning for roughly eight hours a day, you may find yourself with an abundance of silence and free time.
Now, of course, that doesn't go for EVERYONE. For those moms and dads that don't work so they can be there for the kids, find themselves with at least a good six or so hours of time to themselves.
So what are you going to do with all that time? I mean, there's always those household things like cleaning up, doing laundry, etc. but that's not fun. Let's be honest, you've earned a little time to do whatever you want to do after spending all day and night with those kiddos all summer.
Here's a perfect chance for you to get away and check out those movies you didn't get around to this summer. Sure, some of the blockbusters are out of theatres, but why not go over and catch a flick? Afterward, you can go play some of those games your kids are always playing there. It's YOUR chance to be a kid.
AMARILLO BOTANICAL GARDENS
Maybe it's some zen and peacefulness you need. After all the yelling, shouting, and screaming of the kids playing, you just need somewhere quiet to go. The Amarillo Botanical Gardens will give you everything you need when it comes to this. Get lost in the beauty and silence.
Ok, this may seem like a strange one, but is it REALLY easy shopping when the kids are around? No, it's not. "Mom/Dad, can we leave yet?" is a pretty common question. The whining forces you out before you truly get a chance to pamper yourself. Well, they're gone. Go spoil yourself.
PICK YOUR COFFEE SHOP
I don't know what it is about sitting down in a coffee shop, but there's just something relaxing about it. Pick your favorite, whether it's Roaster's, Dutch Bros, or Palace. Bring a book or laptop, sip on some coffee and enjoy a cup, or three, and catch up on whatever it is you're into.
