There’s a 5K This Weekend Benefiting Four Causes in Amarillo
Some of us thought that 2020 would be boring. Everything was getting canceled or postponed. We thought that 2020 would be the year we all got really well acquainted with our couch.
I was wrong.
This month is full of activities and it keeps getting even fuller. We have everything that's going on for Halloween, and there are several fundraisers and other activities planned.
This weekend there is going to be a 5K benefiting four different causes in the area. It's the second Kindness is the Cure 5K hosted by Palace Coffee and Sparkman Orthodontics.
It's kicks off this Saturday morning (10/17/2020) at Palace Coffee on Polk. Packet pickup is at 8 AM. The run begins at 9 AM.
The start and finish line will be Palace Coffee's Polk Street location.
This year the causes are the Amarillo Symphony Youth Orchestra, Storybridge, Make a Wish North Texas, and The Parc. Registration is $25, and when you register you can pick which cause your funds go to.
Since we are living in the age of Covid-19 they do say that if you are uncomfortable with running the 5K because of the virus, you can still register and get your race t-shirt and choose which cause to support.

As we get in to the final months of the year, which also happen to be the busiest, hopefully we'll keep seeing ways to get out of the house.
