In today's society there is so much pressure put on one's looks.  Girls start wearing make-up at younger and younger ages, but would you buy your teenage daughter breast implants as a graduation gift?

If you turn on your television, images of tall, thin, and beautiful women flood our brains.  So much so that young girls feel that is the norm.  Their self esteem is shot.  They feel ugly because they have a little meat on their bones or because they stand 5'2.

The reality is that Hollywood has clouded these beautiful girls minds.  And I was shocked to find out that girls are asking their parents for breast implants as a graduation gift.

Graduation is here and I have several friends and family members that have children graduating from high school.  I have been asking for some graduation gift ideas and I couldn't believe that one of my cousins asked her parents for a boob job.

Her reasoning, all her friends had big boobs and she didn't.  She said it was for her own self esteem.  This made me sad.  As a parent, I would hope that my children would be comfortable with their body and be confident in who they are.

These girls watch television and see all these, already beautiful, girls get breast implants and feel that they need to do the same.  MTV's Teen Mom has shown at least two girls have the surgery done.

I don't feel that looks make a person beautiful.  I have seen some gorgeous women who turn out to have the ugliest personality and it makes their looks not matter at all.

On the other hand, maybe I'm just out of touch with teenagers.  So here is my question, would you buy your teenage daughter breast implants as a graduation gift?
