If you are feeling brave and hungry, head to The Big Texan and take the 72 oz. Steak Dinner Challenge. You have one hour to eat everything on the plate which includes 4 and 1/2 lbs of steak, baked potato, shrimp cocktail, salad and a bread roll. Many have tried, only a few succeeded.

One of the neatest things I have seen since I got here 2 years ago. Cadillac Ranch is not a ranch but more of a public art display. Before you head over to Cadillac Ranch stop and pick up some spray paint. It is encouraged that you leave your mark on one the Caddys sticking out of the ground. Go ahead, let everyone know you have been to Amarillo.

My 8-year-old loves this place! There a tons of hands-on exhibits. Not only is he playing, he is learning at the same time. The Discovery Center is a great place to take the kids to learn and have fun.

Palo Duro is the second-largest canyon in the United States. It is absolutely amazing. If you love the outdoors, you have to visit the canyon. They have everything, camping, horseback riding, hiking, zip lining and so much more. If you don't do any of those things, just go out there and drink in the scenery. It is amazing.
