Amarillo Blankets Of Love Annual BBQ On Again This Month

Blankets of Love is a local non-profit organization, founded in 2015 when there was a dire need for warm blankets in Amarillo and all over the Panhandle. Since their start the group has sewn and given away more than 3,400 blankets within West Texas and beyond. Their blankets are provided to multiple organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, CareNet, Family Support Services, the Women’s Shelter, Angel Tree and No Boundaries International.

From 11AM to 2PM stop by the annual BBQ fundraiser at Spicy Mike’s BBQ on Sunday October 25. Tickets are just ten dollars and you can enjoy a brisket plate with potato salad, beans, Texas toast and coleslaw and a drink.  Tickets are cash or check only.
