If you haven't been over to Buc-ee's in Amarillo yet, it's ok. I haven't even been there yet myself, but I'll get there. It's easily been the most popular place in Amarillo since it opened last month.

And now, allegedly, it's so popular that it's already been robbed.

Last night, January 21, the police scanners apparently started going crazy due to a robbery at Buc-ee's. Right now, we don't know what exactly they robbed, guessing money. People on Facebook were having a lot of fun with it though.

Some of the comments were wrapped around stealing Beaver Nuggets and brisket sandwiches, while others pointed to the home décor stuff. Others took the opposite route by saying Buc-ee's is robbing us.

Here's what we seem to know about what took place.

Reports of the Buc-ee's being robbed and suspects jumped into a grey van. That van was apparently spotted on I-40 heading eastbound at a high rate of speed. Silence ensued for a bit as police were in pursuit to find the van.

The next thing heard was they found an abandoned grey van on the 2800 block of N. Eastern and the van was unoccupied. Seems they had gotten away for the moment.

Not long after that, someone called police to report an attempted break-in of their home. It seems the people didn't get in, but the call came from a home approximately a block or so away from where the van was abandoned.

As of now, it seems the suspects are still at-large, and we have no idea the motivation behind attempting to rob the Buc-ee's. No doubt there will be more to come.

UPDATE!! We now know what the suspects took from the beaver.
