The world is a scary place these days, and Amarillo has its share of things that are concerning. From AI beginning to mask itself and put people in danger, to the everyday problems we see in the city, it's enough to make you want to stay inside.

Now, we're starting to get reports that are incredibly concerning about a man in his car who is causing a lot of alarms to go off for women in the area where he's been seen.

Random Man Trying To Stop Women And Lure Them

According to this post on the Amarillo Reddit thread, there is a man, possibly Hispanic or Arabic, who is driving a black car and has a red license plate and is attempting to stop women on the sidewalk.

Reports from several different women on the thread, and the original poster, state that he's stopping the women and attempting to lure them into his car. The women report that the man does this from varying hours between 3-10 pm, and it's in the S. Washington area.

Why Is This Concerning

Unfortunately, human trafficking is starting to see an uptick in Amarillo. There have been many reports of people being followed in stores and out to the parking lot over the last year, and now this. Not to mention all the different online attempts to lure people into a bad situation.

The biggest thing you can do is stay vigilant and resist any kind of offer or attempt by someone to get you to go with them. People have begun to get very creative in their attempts to make you think you should go with them. In other words, if you don't know them, ignore them.
