A search warrant was secured by Amarillo police to search a house on the 2200 block of N Woodland in Amarillo.  The warrant for possession of child pornography was set in motion after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

"On 7-25-13, APD Crimes Against Persons Squad detectives secured a search warrant for a home in the 2200 block of N. Woodland. The warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation triggered by a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The information allowed investigators to link the address to a computer that had been used to transmit a file that may have included child pornography. On 7-26-13, at 5:25 PM, APD investigators and an investigator from the 47th District Attorney’s Office served the search warrant. Officers seized several computers and related hardware, along with a number of CD and DVD files. No arrests were made during service of the warrant. Investigators reviewed the files and found multiple images that were child pornography. Later that day, James Metcalf WM age 42 of the address on Woodland came to the police department. Metcalf was interviewed and placed under arrest."

He was booked into the Potter Count Detention Center on seven counts of possession of child pornography.
