Amarillo Man Hospitalized In Early Morning Shooting

A shooting around 5:00am this morning that took place at My Club sends one Amarillo man to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Amarillo Police:

"On Friday, 7-05-2013 at about 5:10 AM, officers were sent to, “My Club” at 601 N. Eastern on a report that a man that had been shot. An employee reported hearing gun shots. He then walked outside and saw the victim. When officers arrived, they found Richard Mendoza, HM, 27 with multiple gunshot wounds, on the ground at the front door of the business. Richard was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he is expected to survive."

No suspects have been identified and circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time. No witnesses were present when the officers arrived.
