While nothing can help ease the pain of an unexpected loss of such a loved person, the Amarillo community steps up to help the survivors of Crystal Vargus, a 26 year-old Amarillo mother of 2 who died in a car accident.

Crystal "Prissy Love" Vargus was an Amarillo favorite, from being a regular of local spots like Pink Sports Bar & Lounge, to her stand out personality that made her truly one of a kind!  Much more beyond that, she was a caring and loving mother that only wanted  the best for her children, and wanted to have some fun with her friends too.

This is going to get creepy for a second.  After seeing what people are saying on Facebook, it's like Crystal predicted something was coming.

On her Facebook was a posting that read:

White is pureness and black is sin.  When I die, I want to be a white seagull and fly away all my sin.

When I was talking to my friend Phett about this posting, I literally got the chills, like I could feel something.

The story doesn't end there, Crystal is the mother of 2 children, 8 year-old Priscilla and 5 year-old Liliana.

The 2 children are missing a mother and literally have nothing.

A fund raiser was done at Pinks last Saturday night, and there was $500 raised.  Now, while I applaud the people that did step up and made donations already, I want you to know that I and the family thanks you!  But we must face reality, and that is the amount raised isn't even enough to cover funeral costs, much less help the kids with back to school clothes and supplies and beyond that.

With this in mind, there will be another fund raiser held at Pink's in the form of a car wash by donations.  The car wash will take place on Tuesday, July 24th from 1-6p and it's all by donations, with of course the donations going to the children left behind.

There will also be a raffle to benefit the children!  An entertainment center will be raffled off with proceeds benefiting the children, giving them hope for the future during such a tragic time.

Candlelight Vigil

There will be one taking place in the parking-lot of Pink's on Wednesday night.  They ask that you be there by 9pm if you're planning on attending.  The candles will be lit at 9:30pm.  Donations will also be accepted at the candlelight vigil.
