School is out and if your kids are anything like my son, they want to eat all day.  Well the Amarillo Parks and Recreation department are once again offering free lunches this summer.

With school being out, the AP&R understand that it can sometimes be hard feeding your kiddos so they would like to help out.  This year they are once again offering free lunches throughout summer.

The Free Summer Lunch Program will start on June 7th and last until August 7th.  It will be offered for kids ages 5-18 years of age and at 17 different parks.  Kids under the age of 5 can participate in the free lunch, but must be accompanied by an adult.

The lunch is absolutely free, but the kids have to be registered.  To get registered, the kids and/or parents have to be at the park the day before and sign up for the next day.

All sorts of activities will also be taking place including a wading pool.  For more information feel free to visit amarilloparks.org or call 378-9391.
