Beware the Sticky Note on Your Car in Amarillo
There are a lot of different ways people try to catch your attention for business in Amarillo. There's the good ol' door-to-door sales that happen, and truthfully annoy you to no end. I mean, you're just trying to relax at home.
Then you've got the incessant phone calls that constantly make your phone ring. How about those pieces of mail that fill up your mailbox when all you want is something cool?

An Old Method With A New Twist
The one that I've always found the most annoying, though? When you come out to your car in the parking lot somewhere and see a flier on your windshield. The reason it's annoying? I didn't give you permission to lift my windshield wiper and put that there. What if you'd broken the arm?
I digress, but there is a new twist to this method that has apparently hit Amarillo. A user on Reddit reported that they found a sticky note on their car, and it simply said "Please call me," and they left a phone number.
What Was The Number For
Now, if I see a sticky note that looks like it was personally written and placed on only my car, my curiosity is going to be piqued. I'm going to be a bit nervous about what it is, but chances are I'm going to call the number to find out who wrote it.
This user did exactly that, only to find out it was someone mentioning they'd seen other cars in the area with hail damage and wondering if they wanted or needed to fix any hail damage on their car.
Salesperson Ends Up Getting Rude
Well, the user who ended up calling the number said they went off on the person, then hung up. However, the salesperson, whose name was given as Rob Nelson, wanted to make sure they got the last word in.
Nelson sent the person a text AFTER the call, and it read, "Sorry for trying to help...you called me". Like, seriously? You're the one who asked to be called. I think that was unnecessary. So watch out for sticky notes now...and it's probably safe to ignore them, unless of course it looks like someone hit your car.
