Veterans Day 2025 in Amarillo: Parades, Ceremonies & Free Deals
A day that we can all get behind here in Amarillo is Veterans' Day. A day where we celebrate those who protect our country and freedoms. Without them, we don't get to be who we are and who we want.
Unfortunately, we don't take care of our veterans enough in this country. Every day should be a day where we are doing something for them, thanking them for their service and sacrifice. They did something most of us wouldn't even think of, and they deserve to be celebrated each day for that.
Veteran's Day Events In Amarillo & Canyon
There are several different events you can attend to celebrate those vets here that will happen either on Veteran's Day or the weekend leading up to it. It starts with the Veteran's Day parade that the Roan-Creek Marine Corps League is putting on. That happens on November 8 at 10 am downtown Amarillo. The parade route will start at 11th and Polk Street and work down to 5th and end on Harrison.
The Texas Panhandle War Memorial Center will host a Veterans Day ceremony on November 11 at 11 am, while the WT and City of Canyon Veterans Day Celebration will take place at the WT campus. That celebration will contain a flyover by West Texas Warbird Flight, a performance by the Canyon High School choir, and several guest speakers.
