Amarillo’s Annual Parade of Lights is Scheduled For This Friday

Thanksgiving has come and gone, now its time to focus on Christmas.  And what better to get you in the spirit of things than to go out to Center City Amarillo's Parade of Lights.

This year Amarillo is getting a new Christmas tree so the parade's theme is 'Rockin Around The Christmas Tree.'  It will be a fun time.  The parade takes place this Friday, December 2nd.  All the floats will be decorated with the best Christmas lights and decorations.

The parade begins around 10th and Polk once its dark.  Once the parade is done, everyone can gather around the Christmas tree.   There will be a special performance in the parking lot of the Amarillo Globe News Center. Vendors will be on hand selling coffee and hot chocolate.  Then, of course, they will light the tree.

So make plans to take the kiddos out this Friday to the annual parade of lights!  It's going to be a fun family evening.
