This year Center City Amarillo, The City of Amarillo Parks and Recreation, and the Amarillo Civic Center have teamed up to buy a new Christmas Tree to be lit the night of the parade, so this year's theme is "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree."  All the floats in this years parade will be decorated accordingly.

The floats will begin the journey on 10th and Polk and end up at the Amarillo Civic Center.  A special program will take place in the parking lot of the Amarillo Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts immediately following the parade.  And of course, the lighting of the city of Amarillo's Christmas Tree.  And rumors are that Santa Claus will be making an appearance.  Vendors will be on hand selling food, hot chocolate, and coffee.

It is sure to be a night to remember.  Plus, nothing brings a family closer together than a fun night filled with hot chocolate, Santa Claus, and holiday spirit.  So mark your calendar for Friday, December 2nd.
