Remember back just a short while ago when we would get mail that invited us to birthday parties? We would get save the dates for weddings. There would be a lot of gender reveals. Then last year hit and a lot of those things were shut down. Here we are and things are starting to open up.

I subscribe to the United States Postal Service called Informed Delivery. That is where they will email you and let you know what to expect in the mail that day. I got an email the other day and it said I was getting a letter in the mail from a name I never heard of. It was hand written to me and family. I was intrigued. It didn’t look like most junk mail. So what was it?

It finally came in on Saturday. It was a hand written letter like I said. On a regular sheet of notebook paper.

So what was it? Remember back before Covid when our doorbells would ring and if we went to the door we ended up having Jehovah Witnesses at our door? Or we would see them walking the neighborhood? So we knew they were coming.

At that point we either knew we were going to pretend we weren’t home...or we were open to talking and listening to them. It all depended on your beliefs.

Well apparently last year was tough for the Jehovah Witnesses too because that was exactly who my handwritten letter was from. I guess in the time of Covid they stopped ringing doorbells but they still had to get their message out.

They were inviting me to an event this coming weekend. It’s interesting how with everything going on this is the way the message was delivered this year.
