Balloons Will Glow and Light Up Palo Duro Canyon for Christmas in the Canyon

The great thing about the holiday season is all the fun events that are available for families.  Some are traditional and some are not.  This event seems to be on the more non-traditional side and it's quirky and fun and it's something that I'm sure the family will love.  Not only do you get to be in the majestic Palo Duro Canyon, you get to see some amazing hot air balloons lit up. 

WHAT: Christmas in the Canyon

WHEN: Saturday, December 17th, 5-8pm

WHERE: Palo Duro Canyon State Park

COST:  A non-perishable food item per person ( if you are coming before 4pm regular park fees apply) to benefit the High Plains Food Bank

Activities during Christmas in the Canyon include:

Enjoy beautiful hot air balloons as they light up and glow with the canyon as their backdrop.

Live music from The Dryland Dreamers and the Oakdale Elementary Honor Choir will be performing their Christmas show

Crafts for the kids - a Palo Duro Moose ornament

Santa Claus will be visiting with the kids and will have photo opportunities

Hot chocolate to warm up on during the cold evening.
