Barbara Walters Is Leaving The View, And Television All Together

It's been reported the television legend, Barbara Walters, will be leaving The View, and television all together in 2014 as she calls it quits.  She's been considering retiring for a few years, she even told our president, Barack Obama, that she was planning on retiring in 2012, but she's hung in there!  It's kind of sad, I've seen Barbara on TV my entire life!  Seeing her leave, it's going to be different, and whoever has to fill her shoes, wow good luck!

Serious, Barbara is an ICON!  She's done everything!  She's incredibly hilarious and that's coming from a guy!  And in my opinion, she makes The View!  That show wouldn't be even 1/4 as good as it is if she wasn't on the cast!

Now, despite what you may think, TMZ is very good at doing research and acquiring information!  So when you read something on their website, you can bet that it's 99% accurate because they're a incredibly reliable source of information.  So when I read this on TMZ, I pretty much knew this was reality.

TMZ reports:

"A honcho at ABC News told TMZ at the time that Barbara has joked about retiring every year since the Clinton Administration ... but now, it seems the legendary newswoman may finally be serious about it.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Walters will make the official announcement in the coming weeks ... with her last broadcast taking place in May, 2014.

We reached out to Barbara's people for comment -- so far, no word back."

Crazy indeed!  I figured she would be on TV until her last breath because she lives and breathes television and is damn good at it!  So enjoy the following year to come The View fans, lord only knows what's going to happen to the show when she exits.
