Bengal Tiger Escapes From Mexico Zoo Near Texas
So normally these bizarre types of stories don't land inside of Texas. Usually they come from Florida, no offense to anyone from there, but it's true.
However, this is one of the more crazy things to happen, and Texans need to be on high alert for this one. It involves a zoo, Mexico, and an escaped animal.
Not just any type of animal, a vicious one, that has probably been in the zoo for quite awhile, so there is no telling how it would react should you stumble upon it.
A Bengal Tiger is on the loose and they say it could start roaming around South Texas. This isn't exactly one of those "cute" animals you see at the zoo. It's a majestic creature for sure, but it is also a very dangerous one.
The tiger was a part of the Quinta La Fauna zoo in Reynosa, Mexico and escaped from its enclosure sometime on Wednesday officials believe.
The tiger escaped along the banks of the Rio Grande and as of now, they haven't found the tiger. With so much space to roam and being so close to South Texas, officials are advising people to stay vigilant and aware.
It appears that the tiger managed to chew through the mesh to its enclosure in order to escape, and officials didn't initially notice it or the tiger missing.
The zoo in Mexico will remain closed until they can locate the tiger.
This also isn't the first time Texas has had to deal with a potentially missing tiger. What was eventually revealed to be a social media hoax back in March, residents were led to believe a tiger was on the loose somewhere in the state.
Back in 2021, a tiger was found wandering the streets of Houston. The tigers name was India, and it was eventually captured and taken to the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch in East Texas.
Keep your eyes open for the tiger on the loose. There is no confirmation of sightings in the state, but with the close proximity to Texas, it's not out of the question that it could happen.
