You can find it nearly everywhere in Texas, and I mean everywhere. It's one of the most popular concession stand items when we go to our kids' baseball tournaments. If you haven't guessed it yet, I'm talking about Frito Pie, and Amarillo has a lot of places to find it.

Trying to find a Frito Pie in Amarillo is like trying to find wind here. You can find it literally anywhere, any time. The question is, how good is it? Is the chili on point? Is the cheese nice and melty so that it won't clump up?

Sure, those things are important, but it's the other things that can push it over the top. The main thing that can send it from good to great? Some good smoked meat places on top of it. Now, your preference may be different than someone else's, but give me some perfectly smoked chopped brisket on top, and it's all over but the crying for me.

Best Places In Amarillo To Find Frito Pie

As I said, there are a lot of places to find them here, but there are a few standouts for sure. The one that seems to get mentioned the most is Crazy Larry's...and I can personally attest to how good theirs is. Couldn't be more on point if it tried.

However, it's not the only place with an amazing Frito Pie. Others have mentioned Wesley's Bean Pot as the other spot to find an amazing Frito Pie. Henks was the other place many mentioned, but they shut down their location a few years ago.
