It's a tradition with a lot of families, a trip around to look at all the gorgeous Christmas lights.  Amarillo has some really great places to check out the beautiful lights.  Here's a list of some of the best places to view Christmas Lights.

The Gardens are lit up with over 300,000 lights.  Admission is free but they are accepting donations.  The Gardens are open each night through December 23rd - 6-8pm

Don't miss all sorts of lights when Center City hosts its annual Electric Light Parade.

This is a new area to go and check out.  You drive through the area enjoying the lights.  It is open  through December 31st, hours are 6-9pm Sunday - Thursday, 6p-11p Friday & Saturday.  It will be closed on Christmas Day.  There is a $10 per car charge to check these lights out.

Sleepy Hollow Area

The homeowners in this area usually go all out.  So add this to the map when you go looking at the lights.

Candy Cane Lane - Gainsbourough Drive

Every year almost every single house is lit up with the most amazing lights.  Best time to catch this view is on a weeknight right after it gets dark.  It is total chaos on the weekend.

Bishop Hills - December 2nd - December 25th, 6:30pm - 12m

Each year Bishop Hills lights up beautifully.  You can still make the drive North just outside of town.  However, it seems, over the years more and more houses have opted not to decorate but, it changes every year and it is still fun. If it isn't a part of your Christmas light tradition it should be added.  They will have Santa on site Friday and Saturdays, and Thursday, December 22nd and Friday, December 23rd.  He can be found at 11 Nottingham on those evenings.  Admission is always free but the Amarillo Lion's Club is on-site collecting monetary donations and old eyeglasses.

This is new to the area, they just had their grand opening.  The Village is lit up with over 400,000 lights and they even have a light show.  You can stop by each evening and check it out.  The light shows will be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday through December at 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9pm.

Georgia & Hawthorne

This is one of my favorite houses.  They always have it decorated and synced to music.  The house can be found at 2418 Hawthorne Drive and you can set your radio to a FM station to hear the music.

Wolflin Area

This area is always decorated with some of the best lights.  All you have to do is just drive up and down the streets to see all the great lights.  Just start off 34th near Washington and check out all the great lights.
