Bieber Hair Sells For $40,000

We are all aware that the Biebs cut his hair.  Well he gave a lock of it to Ellen Degeneres to auction off for charity.

It did indeed sell.  For $40,668!!!  Wow!  All the money earned will be donated to Gentle Barn Foundation, an animal rights group in California.  A good charity indeed.

It took 98 bids to finally crown a winner.  Is it just me or does $40,000 seem like a ridiculous amount of money to spend on hair? Or would you spend that much knowing the hair is Justin Bieber's?
