Yesterday afternoon left a sight to see for shoppers of Drug Emporium on 45th st. in Amarillo as a driver crashed their Toyota sedan straight into the front. It must've been one hell of sale that the driver just needed to get to! Thankfully, there were no serious injuries, but the incident did leave one worker pinned underneath the car.

Amarillo Globe News reports:

No one was seriously injured after a sedan drove through the front of Drug Emporium, 4210 S.W. 45th Ave., Wednesday afternoon, Amarillo police said.

“I saw the ceiling fall through and my first reaction was ‘What happened?’” he said. “I couldn’t believe it. Once the initial shock wore off, I realized a car had driven through the wall.”

Police did not identify the driver of the vehicle and did not say whether any charges were filed against the driver.

Well the driver had sh*t to buy what can I say.  Safely, I can say that we don't exactly have the best drivers in Amarillo.  I can also say that I bet money the driver was probably way to old to have any business behind the wheel.

I have a love hate relationship with this city.  I love living in it, I hate the drivers that commute it.  I have a near miss almost everyday.  We've got to weed out the people that shouldn't be driving!

This brings back a memory of a South Park episode, where they take away senior citizens licenses.  This clip is good for a laugh!
