Comedian Patrice O’Neal Suffers A Stroke

Patrice O'Neal is a very funny comedian and let's hope that it stays that way after what happened!  It was announced this morning that he suffered a stroke.  Add that on top of the diabetes he's suffering from and it looks like trouble for one of the smartest and funniest comedians alive. 

His condition is not clear at the moment.  So we don't know how severe his current situation is, but I do hope for the best because I've loved this guy from the first moment I saw him!  His stand up absolutely kills me!  And on the Roast of Charlie Sheen, he wrecked shop!  (warning my young jedi knights! clicking the roast link leads you to NSFW material!)

The news hit the world this morning, announced by fellow comedian Jim Norton on the Opie & Anthony show.  (EOnline)

We don't know how he is. We don't know how he's going to be," said Norton. "I didn't want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you."

Norton added that he made the announcement onair becase "we wanted it to come from us."

A statement was also posted on Opie and Anthony's Facebook page, which allows fans to send the comic well wishes.

"Our close friend Patrice O'Neal suffered a stroke last week," the statement reads. "Please respect his family and their request for privacy. An email has been set up for fans to send him well wishes and his family will make sure he gets them. You can write to LoveForPatrice@gmail.com. When we have an update on his condition, we will let you all know."

Today is a sad day in the comedy world, please keep Patrice in your prayers!  I'm not ready to lose this guy, laughter is the best medicine and I need lots of medicine right now!
