I couldn't believe the headlines when I saw them earlier today, and over the weekend. Cracker Barrel is experimenting with adding booze to the menu.

I'm not upset, and I don't think this is going to ruin Sunday afternoons for all the church-goin' folk who need a good country fried steak after Sunday service.

I do think it's going to possibly make my Cracker Barrel breakfast awesome.

Before life got me too busy to think, one of my favorite weekly traditions was my Saturday breakfast. Steak, eggs, a grapefruit, glass of milk, two pancakes, and a cold beer were what I spent all week looking forward to.

Cracker Barrel serves breakfast all day. They're experimenting with adding beer and wine to the menu. I don't think I've ever been excited about Cracker Barrel before in my life.

It's going to make it even more relaxing when I go "sit a spell" and play some checkers.

It is isn't a permanent change yet, and it isn't in all stores. Currently there are 20 Cracker Barrel locations experimenting with the added "spirits." Here's to hoping it's a success. I'm looking forward to my "Beer & Eggs Saturday" again.

Amarillo's Cracker Barrel is one of the stores that is open for dine-in, while adhering to the Governor's guidelines. They are also continuing their curbside service.
