Drake has done it again. Toronto's boy has accomplished yet another feat some artists dream of achieving their entire careers. It was announced today that the Views MC has been nominated for 13 American Music Awards. This means the "Hotline Bling" star has officially broken a 32-year record for the most American Music Awards nominations by beating Michael Jackson's previous record of 11 nods from 1984.

This isn't the first time Drizzy has measured up to the legendary King of Pop. In July of this year, the Toronto rapper tied Michael Jackson's Billboard record by becoming the second male solo artist to ever hold the No. 1 song and album on the Billboard charts for seven weeks. Drake did so through the continued performance of his hit single “One Dance” off his latest album Views.

2016 has undoubtedly been Drizzy's year. The 6ix God has been racking up accolades faster than probably even he can count. To date, the aforementioned album has been the first LP of 2016 to go triple platinum, has racked up over a billion streams on Apple Music and has won Album of the Year at the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards. And though there's no doubt Drake has his sights set on 2017 Grammys gold, he unfortunately won't be in attendance and the ceremony in February due to the fact that he's back on road, this time tearing up Europe for The Boy Meets World Tour.
