We are about halfway through the year 2021 and the weather has been something else. We had those crazy winter storms all over Texas back in February. We had triple digit heat way before we saw summer on the calendar.

Since summer has officially hit we have seen way cooler than average temperatures. There has been rain that hit us this week too. Due to the rain there have had to be some changes to the celebration happening this weekend in Canyon for the 4th of July.

The Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast, The Fair of the Square and the parade will all be happening same time and same location on Saturday. The change up is going to move the location for the concert with Noah Genda and the fireworks. Originally the fireworks were going to be shot off from Connor Park.

According to the Canyon Chamber of Commerce's Facebook Page:

Due to the rain and road conditions leading to the location of the fireworks launch area south of Conner Park as well as the forecast for more rain between now and Saturday, the concert and fireworks show have been relocated to the Happy State Bank Stadium parking lot.
We invite you to bring your lawn chairs, coolers, picnic, family and friends for a fun evening with Noah Jenda followed by the Canyon 4th of July Independence Day Fireworks Show! Fireworks will be shot to the East of the stadium. The spectator area will have the perfect view of the fireworks! THIS IS STILL A FREE EVENT!!
NOTICE: Due to the event being on CISD property, NO ALCOHOL will be permitted.
Live music starts @ 6:00pm
Fireworks around 9:45pm
Food Trucks: Tona's Mexican Kitchen, Canyon Popcorn Company, El Tropico Canyon, Porch Swing Kettle Korn, Snoball Stop & Sweet Spot Lemonade.
For any questions, please contact ROGER REMLINGER at the Canyon Chamber of Commerce.
So the weather is not going to keep our Independence Day Celebration from happening. There will still be fun and fireworks. We just have to enjoy them at a new location.
