We have some great art in Amarillo, but sometimes, you just want to get out and see what other places have to offer.

What's better, than hitting the road on a Saturday morning and checking out some amazing art down the road from Amarillo.   Well it's time to make that happen and hit the road and visit Childress.

When most of us think of Childress, its a bathroom stop on the way to Dallas.  Well it's time to stop and enjoy what Childress has to offer.

In fact, they are hosting their very first art exhibition.  The Art Awareness Exhibit.

This will take place at Gene Jouett Memorial Park, Downtown Main Street in Childress, Tx on Saturday, April 9th from 6pm-9pm.

This event is an outside event.  The goal is to raise awareness of art in the Childress community and area.

You'll have the opportunity to enjoy some amazing art pieces, and who knows you might just end up taking one of those amazing pieces home.

Not only will you be able to enjoy art, they will have live music and food vendors.

Get out and explore and enjoy the greatness of art out side of Amarillo as the arts in Childress are growing.    Childress is less than a two hour drive away from Amarillo, it's close enough to get out of town, but far enough away to enjoy a quick road trip.
