Former Boys Ranch Football Player LaQuan McGowan Working Hard To Make It To The NFL

LaQuan McGowan might be from a small town, but he has big dreams.McGowan is currently a tight end for Baylor University. But this is not your average tight end player. McGowan is a 410lbs,  6'7" beast with great hands! He broke many high school records as player for Boys Ranch. His hands and size aren't the only things that are impressing some NFL teams. He also has some great speed for his size. LaQuan ran the 40 yard dash in 5.39 seconds at the NFL columbine.

Even though he didn't get picked up in the 2016 NFL draft, nothing will stop him from fulfilling his dreams. Many people in the Panhandle are rooting for LaQuan to make it into the NFL. This might be the first player from Boys Ranch history to ever become a professional football player.

LaQuan has said that if football doesn't work out, he would want to be a youth minister. Guess he has more than just big hands... he has a huge heart as well.
