Amarillo Fire Dept. Offering Free CPR & First Aid Class

There are a lot of different types of careers and jobs in Amarillo, but some of those require certain certifications in order for you to be able to work for them. Some of these jobs are good, high-paying jobs too.

Usually, you have to pay in order to get certification in those things, one of them being CPR training.

Now, not everyone wants to pay for those types of classes. Sometimes they're just exploring whether or not it's something they'd want to do, or they're parents and just trying to gain a knowledge on it.

If you're one of the ones mentioned above, then the perfect class awaits you at no charge.

Amarillo Fire Department is offering a FREE First Aid and CPR class that will arm you with all the knowledge you need in the subjects.

On Thursday, February 13th at the Central Church of Christ, you'll be able to pop in and learn all the basics in CPR as well as first aid. You'll learn it for all ages, from infants to children to adults.

And before you ask, yes, CPR is different depending on the size of the person.

As mentioned, the class is free to attend and they can take the first 100 people that sign up here. As of this writing, there were 12 people signed up, so plenty of spots left up for grabs.

This is a non-certification class being offered, so if you need certification for a job you currently hold or are looking to get, you won't be able to obtain it here. However, it will at least arm you with some knowledge going into a certification class.
