A gay correctional officer in West Hollywood is heated right now.  You see, he wants to march in the Gay Pride Parade but his department thinks if he wore his uniform while doing so, it would be a discredit to the department.  Andrew Johnson, who works for the California Institution for Women in Chino, CA, asked his superiors at the Department of Corrections for permission to march in uniform on Sunday, but was told he couldn't do it because of a law that prohibits officers from marching in uniform if it would bring "discredit" to the department.  And he has decided to take legal action to fight for his rights.  And who will be representing him?  None other then Gloria Allred!  She's a lean, mean law fighting machine!  Allred says she's filed a complaint with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, alleging discrimination based on sexual orientation.  What do you think?  Should Johnson have the right to march in uniform?  Or is that something left up to the department to decide?
