Gwyneth Paltrow Yearns to Be More Like Her Idol Jessica Simpson

Gwyneth Paltrow, tired of raking in millions to be one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood, would rather focus her time on building her own empire of expensive things no one really needs. Just like Jessica Simpson.

The 33-year-old Oscar winner is allegedly bored with acting, so she wants to work full-time on her lifestyle site GOOP and the fitness company that she owns with trainer Tracy Anderson.

"She admires Jessica's empire. She wants to make a killing,” a source confessed to Us Weekly of Paltrow's future plans for world domination. “She's lost her passion for movies.”

If that sounds silly, chew on this: Simpson's eponymous fashion endeavors pull in almost a billion dollars a year. Yes -- "billion" with a B. So maybe Jessica is not as dumb as she'd have us believe.

That said, a Paltrow rep promises that Gwynnie won't quit acting entirely, saying, "Her plan is to do one, maybe two supporting parts a year."

Think of her as a starving artist. Just one that calls $150 denim-colored sweatpants and $90 white T-shirts "essentials."
