Here’s Why Amarillo Teens Are No Longer Watching TV
A lot of teens in Amarillo are putting down the TV remote. But where are they going?
Researchers found that teens are watching 49% less of traditional television. This is far less than the amount of teen who were watching TV five years ago.
But where are those teens going? They are not watching fewer TV shows. It’s just that now they have more options to watch the shows they love. With services like Hulu and Netflix, teens in Amarillo are using tablets and computers to watch the shows they love.
In fact, because of these options, teens also have been using the internet way more too. They have been connected to the internet around three hours a week. Which is way up from two hours a year ago.
So if you are an parent, you won’t have to fight for the remote anymore. However there is a good chance you will not be able to use the tablet or laptop anytime soon.
