It seems that life gets more and more hectic everyday.  There is work, dead lines, homework, groceries, and other errands and chores that have to be done.  It can be overwhelming and seem unappreciated.  But there are two simple words that can make it all worth it.

This past weekend was one big jumble.  On top of a chaotic work schedule, my son was sick and my hubby has a huge project he needs to finish.  I'm sitting at work and multiple texts keep coming.  At first, I was worried that my son was getting worse.  Then I realized that he was fine, they just would rather me do all the work.

After a long day, I get home to a destroyed house.  It looked like it was hit by a tornado.  As I begin cleaning up, I hear 'I'm hungry' shouts coming from all over the house.  I hurry up to cook dinner all the time still trying to tidy up the house.

Dinner is served, medicine given, ideas shared, and things put away.  It is getting late so I give my son a bath and put him down for bed.  I still have a ton to do.  I finish up the dishes and throw a load of laundry in the washer.

Sitting down to gather my thoughts, I look up and my husbands is watching me.  'What?'  is all that comes out of my mouth.  He lets out two simple words that make all the craziness worth it, 'Thank You!'

It isn't often that my family takes time to thank me for the millions of things that I do, but when they do they remind me of all the reasons I love being a wife and mom.  After that, the chores didn't seem to bother me, neither did the whining from the bedroom or the multiple 'what do you think about this' questions.

When life seems to swallow you whole, look at your family and see that they too have a million things going on.  Take a minute and say 'thank you,' because that might be just the thing they need to hear.

5 Ways To Show Your Significant Other You Care

1. Make Their Favorite Meal

Whether you usually do the cooking or not, have their favorite meal ready when they get home.  It will mean more than you know.

2. Wash Their Car

I now it doesn't seem like a lot but it is.  We have had so many dirt storms lately, get up early and go wash the car.

3. Text Them A Random I Love You

If you are sitting at work and get an unexpected text, you'll feel extra loved.  They will too!

4. Do One Of Their Chores

There are certain things that each of you usually handle at home.  Try throwing out the trash for him or washing the dishes for her.  Whatever chore it is, I'm sure they will be both shocked and appreciative.

5. Date Them

Set up a date night.  Sometimes we get caught up in our daily lives that we lose sight of each other.  Take a special night, get a sitter, make reservations and surprise him/her with a date night.  Just the two of you!
