Ian Sadler has officially retired from the Texas Tech Football program due to injury.

Texas Tech Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury confirmed the news during his first press conference of the spring, saying, "[Ian] is no longer with the program, he played on it all last year, it was in bad shape and he wanted to push through and finish. Doctors orders, really."

Kingsbury finished by saying Sadler would remain at Texas Tech to get a degree from the school.

In his three seasons at Texas Tech, Sadler played in 31 games. He caught 89 passes for 1,295 yards and five touchdowns. His best season was in 2015, when Sadler caught a career-high 42 passes, with three touchdowns and 596 yards.
