Get Those Honey-Do’s Done for Free in Amarillo

Take a look at that list you have been just adding to. You know the one. It may be your honey-do list. If you don't have a honey it just might be that long and over-due list you have been trying to mark a few things off.

That is not what usually happens. You probably keep adding and adding and not one time have you marked stuff off that list. It can be frustrating. It can get overwhelming. How about you look over that list again and do something about it?

There is an upcoming event that can help remove some of those things on that list. Did I mention it is free? No word sounds better in the English language than free. That is exactly what is coming up.

It is called Repair Cafe and it's happening at the Warford Activity Center on June 1st. You don't have to register. All you have to do is show up with your honey-do project. Then the Senior Services members will get to work.

The event lasts from 10:30 am until 2:30 pm. Not only will they provide snacks while you wait. You can also learn how to do some of these projects by yourself. They will offer repair tips as well.

Wouldn't it feel great to get that hemming job you have been needing to taken care of done? How about that radio you have in the garage? Wouldn't it be great to get it working again? Maybe you need your lawn mower ready for this season.

I hope this is something they continue to do. Those of us without a honey could really use the extra help and tips. Those of us with a honey may have the opportunity to get stuff done that keeps piling up and maybe keeping him out of trouble a bit.

Either way, this Repair Cafe is a great event to help a lot of people.
