I love scrolling through Facebook and looking at photos from Amarillo that other people post. They capture some really nice sunrises and sets. I do believe that we have the best view from our beloved city.

I watch as people reminisce about some of our different fun events like our Funfest. Ooh, I miss that. We love to see how the city has changed over the years. Then there are those photos that I think "where in the heck did you actually take that photo?"

I mean if you look you can even find Tik Toks that brag about our beaches. Our beaches? Here in Amarillo? Come on.

The latest laugh-out-loud moment was one that I recently saw that was supposedly taken from Wonderland Park. You know our family-favorite amusement park in Thompson Park?

There are some great opportunities to take some great photos of our city from some of their rides. I mean the ski lifts take you around the park. So you can take some fabulous photos from different angles on the ride.

That is not the only ride that leaves you up high in the sky to snap some photos. How about the Drop of Fear? That one brings you way up there before it drops you down and your stomach tries to catch up.

You can probably get some pretty great shots. I will, though guarantee there is no place on that ride where you can catch a photo like this guy from Amarillo did.

This made me laugh. Even funnier are the comments. I mean I want to find out what kind of camera he was actually using to get such a spectacular shot.

Of course, anyone who has been here or lives here knows this was a very tongue in cheek post. I mean there is no way you can use any kind of filter to make a photo from the Drop of Fear look like this. Our Downtown Amarillo is nothing like this.

It is actually a photo of a city in Dubai. So well played. You gave us all a pretty good chuckle. One that we needed. Thanks for that.
