Missing the Fair Turkey Legs? New Place Coming to Amarillo

The fair has only been gone a couple of weeks but missing the food is a real thing. Grabbing one of those turkey legs and chomping down on it as you walk down the fairway is still in the back of your mind.

Man, you want to go back. Well, luckily you can save up your money and wait until the fair comes back because there is a new place coming to Amarillo.

Turkey Legs, BBQ, and Ribs, Oh My

The place is going to be called Grub Stop and we are about two weeks from it opening up. It is moving into the former Family Soul Food location, 910 N Filmore.

Right away I hope that they have better luck in that location. If you remember Family Soul Food closed down because they had so many problems with the location. They got tired of having to close for one reason or another. They put too much money into a location that they did not own.

So hopefully there has been some work done to remedy that situation. I want this new place to move in and have great success. The great thing about Amarillo is we are very welcoming to new places.

Plus who doesn't love barbecue? Who doesn't love turkey legs? October looks to be a good month. We have several places looking to open. Between Grub Stop, Roll Em Up Taquitos, and Senor Chubby's Mexican Restaurant, we may never have to cook again.

I love that Amarillo is so welcoming. Bring on the food. Bring on the turkey legs. We can't wait to try out this new location.
