The football season didn't start off the way that Sunray would have wanted. This isn’t about wins and losses, it’s about their home stadium  The stadium that they would have started the season off in, the one that they always have played in wasn't available.

A Stadium Left Unplayable

A storm hit and made the stadium unplayable. That is when Sunray heard about the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights contest. This contest could be the answer to their problems.

Last year, Dumas High entered and won $25,000. This year Sunray got an entry in and made it through the first round. They have already secured their $25,000. They are now in the running for the one-million dollar homefield upgrade.

How the Contest Works

This is where they are asking for your help. This stage involves voting. You can get online and vote every single day. Get your family and friends to help out. It would be great to bring this money to our area.

It would be great to see Sunray get the help that they need to fix and upgrade their stadium after the summer storm.

Why Your Vote Matter

From Sunray's school district this is how you can help:

We are slowly moving our way up! But, we are still almost 39k votes behind the #1 school. Please, like, share, and vote DAILY.

The $25,000 prize helps, but much more is needed for repairs They are not asking for donations. All they need is for you to take a few minutes out of your day and vote. Then they ask that you share so everyone you know can vote too.

From the contest page about Sunray High:

After a year marked by tragedy and storm damage in this small rural town, the Bobcats’ stadium now faces costly repairs beyond insurance coverage. Renovation would help restore safe, functional facilities and give this resilient community a place to heal and come together every Friday under the lights.

What’s Next for Sunray

Vote HERE. Let's help Sunray win that top prize. They are currently in 6th place, and we have until October 24th to get them on top. Keep voting and keep sharing.
