If you said yes to any of the above, then mark your calendars for West Texas A&M University's Bad Poetry Contest.

All are encouraged to take part and you don't even have to be a student of WT, it is also open to the general public to watch or share your amazingly bad poetry.

I had a tree
It dropped its leaves
It was naked.

Hmmm...wonder if that counts for bad poetry.

The Bad Poetry Contest will take place in the Sybil B. Harrington Fine Arts Complex Recital hall on the WT Campus in Canyon on Friday, March 3rd. The event starts at 6:30 pm.

Those participating in the Bad Poetry contest are asked to bring 2 or 3 originals of their poetry selections.

According to WT, submissions in the past have ranged from cowboy poetry to off-kilter rants, perfectly metrical gems to a barely rhyming list of diseases found in cattle. Poets are asked to keep their material in the PG-13 range.

Don't miss this poetry slam of horrid talent. I'm sure all these amazing poets have amazing poetry, but it's a chance to see just how bad those lines of text can get while flowing out of the creator's mouth.

If anything it might be the perfect place for a date night. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and find yourself asking why?
