Buc-ee's is a road trip staple. It doesn't matter if you're visiting the one in Amarillo, Florida, or the original Texas location, it’s a must-stop. There's just something about the cheap gas, beef jerky, and Beaver Nuggets. Oh, and we mustn't forget about the cleanest restrooms on the planet.

When it comes to Buc-ee's, everyone has their favorite items. For me, it's the Cherry Maple Beef Jerky from the deli. Others, it is the brisket sandwich, and hearing "brisket on the board" is music to our ears. For a lot of people, the Buc-ee's treat is the cinnamon rolls. Let me say, they’re heavenly. But apparently, you can’t find them at Buc-ee’s right now. They’re gone.

Social Reactions and Community Buzz

Most businesses have a tendency to give us items and take them away, and it seems that this is what is happening with the Buc-ee's cinnamon rolls. One post on social media summed it up perfectly:

We are so sad that Buc-ee’s is no longer serving their awesome cinnamon rolls. They were the best.

Someone even took to Reddit because they went to three different Buc-ee's and couldn't find the cinnamon rolls.

Why Buc-ee’s Cinnamon Rolls Are Missing

Here’s what’s going on. We asked a Buc-ee’s employee, and they told us it’s a manufacturing or vendor issue. Until that gets resolved, those cinnamon rolls won’t be back.

New Gas Payment Policy Explained

Now that we've figured out the cinnamon rolls, what's up with the gas? There is a sign that has been posted on the pumps at the Buc-ee's in Amarillo.

Starting March 1, 2026, using a card for fuel? Please pay at the pump.

Rules for Paying With Cash vs Card

This means you won't be able to pay for gas when checking out inside if you are using a card. Apparently, if you're paying with cash, you can still pay inside.

So why the change?  Although we don't have an official answer, the speculation is that it will keep people from parking at the pumps and taking their sweet time inside while others are waiting to get gas.

Yes, Buc-ee's has a thousand pumps available, but when it is busy, they are usually occupied, and if you're parking, going inside, and shopping, you are being an inconvenience to those who just want to get gas.

So get gas, park, then go inside and shop. If you're paying cash for gas, go inside, pay, come pump your gas, then park in a parking spot, go back in, and shop. It's just common courtesy that we should all be giving each other.

We all love Buc-ee’s, whether it’s a road trip tradition or a regular weekly stop.
