Tuesday in Amarillo had that extra spark in the air, making it feel like anything could happen!

Just imagine yourself enjoying a day out with your daughter. You’re out and about shopping and you pull into a parking lot and you see a car on fire.

That is exactly what happened to Marci and Meghan McNeely. They pulled into the parking lot of The Shops at Soncy between Home Goods and Ross, and saw a Jeep on fire.

Meghan who is a trained EMT and firefighter runs into a store and grabs a fire extinguisher. Meghan and other heroes with fire extinguishers fought the flames until the Amarillo Fire Department arrived.

What Caused the Fire?

Apparently, the jeep's radiator had a habit of overheating, and it finally got so hot that it started to burn. Luckily no one was hurt in the fire, however, the Jeep is toast. No pun Intended.

Thankfully, bystanders like Meghan were quick on their feet and took action before the fire spread to the other vehicles in the parking lot. Hopefully, Marci and Meghan were able to continue their shopping after their fire adventure. Let's hope the owner of the Jeep has good insurance.

Unexpected things happen in Amarillo and this one just happened to be a Jeep bursting into flames.
