Canyon is one of those big, small cities that everyone wants to move to, and more and more people are moving to Canyon. It's a great place to live.

The more people that move in, the more businesses start moving in, and a local Amarillo business is moving closer to Canyon. To give residents a closer spot to receive their services.

Sparkman Orthodontics is opening up a practice, near Canyon.

Sparkman Orthodontics started in Pampa, Texas where Dr. Sparkman grew up. He started Sparkman Orthodontics in his father's dental office in Pampa. It was such a success he opened a full practice in Amarillo. Today, Sparkman Orthodontics has a practice in Amarillo, Clovis and where it started, Pampa. Soon, they will have a practice near Canyon.

"We hope to be open mid-2024 and we will offer the same orthodontic services in Canyon that we do in our other locations. We will also provide patients the ability to be seen in whichever office is most convenient for them", said Kendall Hay, COO Sparkman Orthodontics. "This location is perfect for us because of the large amount of Canyon patients we have coming to Amarillo. The Spring Canyon area is a growing community with lots of young families and we are excited to be a part of it. We want to provide our Canyon patients to have the same accessibility and convenience as our Amarillo patients."

The new location will be at the corner of VFW (Soncy Rd or FM 2590) and Glorieta Rd in Spring Canyon.

Those orthodontics patients in Canyon who drive into Amarillo for their appointments will now have a closer choice to home.

The Somewhat Small Towns of the Texas Panhandle

Say what now? Somewhat small?

That's right. These are the towns that seem massive when compared to teensy weensie two-stoplight towns like Pringle (30) or Kerrick (25), but they're definitely not on the same level as cities like White Deer or Panhandle....much less Amarillo.

Buckle up! We've got a places to go and towns to see! These populations are well over 100, but way less than 1000.
