As much as Canyon seems to be growing, popular businesses aren't keeping pace with that growth. Another Canyon business has announced it will be closing its doors.

Tabletop Tavern Game Cafe on the Canyon Square announced recently on their Facebook page that they would be closing the gaming cafe this month.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Tabletop Tavern Game Cafe will be closing its doors.

Canyon's Tabletop Tavern Announces Final Closing Date

Although they would like to stay open through the end of July, they anticipate their last day to be July 24.

The owners opened this place so people could come together to socialize, play games, and enjoy good food and drinks.

Why Tabletop Tavern Is Closing

The post went on to say the reason for this closure is the rising costs of everything, thus making it difficult to run a small business. They also noted that they are dealing with a family member's unexpected medical diagnosis.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who played our games, sat down over a meal, attended an event, supported us on social media, or enjoyed a beer at Tabletop Tavern.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Canyon

They also mentioned their incredible employees and how thankful they were for them, and how the employees helped shape this business.
From our family to yours, thank you for supporting Tabletop Tavern Game Cafe. We will miss you greatly.

More Than Just a Restaurant

Author's note: My son and I would visit when we could, to grab a quick bite and so he could pick up the latest Warhammer figure or stock up on painting supplies. This was a unique and wonderful place for those in Canyon to gather. It will be missed by many.
This was a place for D&D, Mahjong, Bingo, crafting, trading, and even karaoke. It wasn't just the games; it was the community. Now's the time to stop in and play those games, grab your favorite item off their menu, and say goodbye, before this game finally ends.
Maybe Tabletop Tavern will be lucky enough to have someone swoop in at the last minute and keep the business alive.
Every locally owned business leaves its mark. It is a place where friendships begin, grow, and evolve. Tabletop Tavern Game Cafe was a place for people to come together and bond over games and hobbies. This closure will hit hard for those in Canyon.
