
Texas DPS Seeks Sex Offender Fugitive From Lufkin
The one thing about living in Texas is that it is big, and unfortunately, being this large, you will find a lot of criminals. We are lucky to have some great law enforcement in our state that keeps us as safe as possible. The Texas Department of Public Safety needs your help in finding a dangerous fugitive.
Texas DPS is currently searching for Jacarlos Leroy Lee Mark.
Who is Jacarlos Leroy Lee Mark?
Mark is a 40-year-old, black male. He is 6'2' and weighs 240 pounds. Marks' identifying marks include tattoos on his neck, abdomen, chest, left arm, left leg, thigh, and right arm and thigh. He also has a scar on his left forearm.

Criminal History and Prior Convictions
Mark is a convicted sex offender and is required to register as one each year. In 2003, Mark was convicted and sentenced to 5 years in prison for engaging in organized criminal activity. Also, in 2003, he was arrested, convicted, and sentenced to 7 years in prison for sexual assault of a child involving a 15-year-old. Then, in 2016, he was once again arrested, convicted, and sentenced to 5 years in prison for four counts of manufacturing/delivery of controlled substances.
Current Warrants and Charges
Then, in December 2025, a warrant was issued for his arrest by the Lufkin Police Department for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. Most recently, on March 27, 2026, another warrant was issued for Mark's arrest out of Angelina County for failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance.

Last Known Location and Ties
Mark has ties to Angelina County, and his last known location was in Lufkin, Texas. He is considered armed and dangerous.
