As an alma mater of West Texas A&M University, I'm always sharing why WTAMU should always be a choice in higher education.   Other than the fact it is close to home and affordable.  It's a really great choice in education.  I am personally proud to be a graduate of WTAMU.

Why Should Students Enroll in West Texas A&M University?

There are many reasons why one should apply to WTAMU.  As mentioned above it is close to home if you live in the Texas Panhandle, two it is more affordable than most universities.  It offers a huge selection of degree programs, and it offers a great online bachelor's program.

Where Does WTAMU Rank Nationally?

WTAMU's online bachelor's program is #32 in the United States according to U.S. News and World Report.  Last year, WT's ranking was at 45, so in a year it rose #13 spots.   The program is #4 in Texas.

WT's online bachelor programs for veterans jumped from #31 to #19 and made it to the #1 spot in Texas.  Eleven of WTAMU's programs were ranked but 8 of them were in the top third of these rankings.

Since 1997, WT has been a pioneer in online learning, fundamentally because it offers students in the Panhandle region and beyond easier access to higher education.

WTAMU is dedicated to excellence in every aspect of its education system, especially the online programs. Whether you enroll at WTAMU for an in-person education or an online program, know that you will get a top education.

West Texas State Normal College

When WT was first established in 1909 it was known as West Texas State Normal College. It has since been West Texas State Teachers College, West Texas State College, West Texas State University, and as we know it today West Texas A&M University.
