Need Coffee? 2 New Starbucks Are Opening In Amarillo

When it comes to coffee, Amarillo has no shortage of options. In fact, I don't think I have ever lived in a city of this smaller size that had so many coffee shops. However, most days it can be a hair-pulling experience to grab a cup of joe due to the long lines. It doesn't matter if you are at Starbucks, Roasters, Palace, Cliffside, or any of the other shops, the lines can get long. During those peak hours, I have sat in lines that were over 30 minutes long and that can be stressful, especially if you are trying to get someone at a certain time.

When Starbucks announced they were going to open 2 more locations, I could not wait. To be transparent, Starbucks is my favorite coffee stop, however I am known to frequent all the others in town from time to time too. While the 2 locations had been announced, there hadn't been very much info on where they would be until now.

Construction has begun on a new Starbucks next to the Love's Truck Stop at Hollywood Road and I-27. The address is 8619 Canyon Drive. The second new location is going to be at the intersection of South Coulter and Pennsylvania Drive. It will be located between Happy State Bank and the Hodges and Hodges Orthodontics buildings. Construction has not yet begun on the South Coulter location. I just hope they put in an extra long drive through at that location so the line doesn't back up out onto Coulter. Yikes!
