Picnic in the Park for Eveline’s Sunshine Cottage

There is an amazing organization that helps single parents get on their feet and get a college education.  It is called Eveline's Sunshine Cottage.

Being a single parent is a hard task.  You are responsible for your family, for your bills, for your housing, transportation etc and sometimes when you are one income family it is difficult to stay afloat.

Eveline's Sunshine Cottage is making a difference in Amarillo by helping get rid of the obstacles a single parent faces and helps them to obtain a college education. It is designed to help families to move off government assistance.   Not only is it making a difference in the parents life the children because they get to see their parent achieve their goals.

Join Eveline's Sunshine Cottage for Picnic in the Park

WHEN: Tuesday, April 12th 11:30-1pm

WHERE: Polk Street United Methodist Church - 1401 S. Polk

COST: $50  or a table sponsorship may be purchased at different levels

If you are unable to attend to the Picnic in the Park and are looking for ways to help the Sunshine Cottage is always in need of the following items:

Laundry supplies:
Tide laundry detergent, Downy, Bleach, Bounce, Shout

Household cleaners:
409, Pinesol, Mr. Clean, Lysol spray, SOS scrubbing pads, Endust, Windex, Liquid dish soap, Dishwasher soap, Comet, Mr. Clean magic erasers

Basic household items:
Light bulbs, Toilet paper, Kleenex, Foil, Zip Lock bags, all sizes, Trash bags, Paper towels, Mop & brooms

Finals are just around the corner for these parents and cooking is just another task to add to them during this stressful time and the folks at the Sunshine Cottage would like your help during finals.  They are looking to provide dinner for these families during finals.  So if you are a master at casseroles or heat and eat meals they would love your help in providing meals.  Meals need to be delivered by the last week of April.
